Ripplow 2026-10-10 — Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms govern use of Ripplow (the "Software") between the rights holder providing
the Software (the "Publisher") and the person using it (the "User").
Read these terms and the system requirements provided with the distribution before use.
By installing or using the Software, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

2. License to use

For Users who agree to these terms, the Publisher grants a non-exclusive right to install
and run the Software on their devices and to create, edit, save and export projects.
The Software may be used for personal and business purposes. Users may publish, distribute
and sell the works they create. Users must obtain the permissions required for third-party
material, fonts, music and other protected content included in those works.

3. Rights in the Software and works

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Software belong to the Publisher
or the respective rights holders. Using the Software does not transfer rights in a User's
projects, source material or exported works to the Publisher. These terms do not grant
rights in third-party material that the User does not otherwise hold.

4. Redistribution of the application

Users may copy the application as necessary for installation, use and backup.
Unless separately authorized or entitled by law, Users must not modify, redistribute, sell,
rent or provide the application to others without the Publisher's permission.
This condition does not restrict publication or sale of the User's created works.
Rights in third-party software are governed by the next section.

5. Open source and third-party software

Included open source and third-party software is governed by its respective licenses.
These terms do not restrict the use, copying, modification, redistribution, access to source
or other rights granted by those licenses. If these terms conflict with a third-party license,
that license takes precedence for the third-party software concerned.
Copyrights, license texts and required notices are available in About under Open Source Licenses.
The bundled FFmpeg is licensed under LGPL-2.1-or-later. Its copyrights belong to the respective
rights holders. The complete corresponding source, build scripts, configuration and information about any patches
for the bundled version are available on the FFmpeg source release on GitHub.

6. Beta status and backups

The Software is a beta version. Defects, interruptions and changes to file formats or
compatibility may occur. Keep independent backups of important projects, source media
and exported works. Save and back up before updating, and check necessary import and
export operations using copies of the original data after an update.

7. Logs, diagnostics and external integrations

Normal editing and saving operations do not automatically send projects or source media
to the Publisher. The Software stores operational and troubleshooting logs on the device.
Exporting diagnostics writes local files; exporting alone does not send them to the Publisher.
Sharing diagnostics or feedback is voluntary. Review the contents before sharing and remove
confidential material and material you are not authorized to send.
Integrations such as MCP may pass project contents or rendered images to a client connected
by the User. Check what that client sends to external services and the terms of those services.
The handling of shared information is subject to the purposes and personal information terms
that the recipient provides when accepting that information.

8. Scripts and material

Depending on their contents and execution environment, scripts may access files on the device
or external programs. Check their contents and origin and run scripts you trust.
Do not use the Software to infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law.

9. Warranties and statutory rights

The Software is supplied as-is. Fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free
operation, and compatibility with every type of source material or file format are not guaranteed.
These terms do not exclude or restrict any rights or remedies a User has under applicable law.
They do not exempt the Publisher from liability imposed by law or limit liability arising
from intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Changes to the terms

Terms for a new distribution will be made available for review before that version is obtained.
Changes to an existing contract will follow the conditions and procedures required by applicable law.
If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
